With small natural waterfalls from rocks this is a sight to see.

A closer view of the creek where the kids can splash and the adults can dip a toe in the clean and cold mountain creek if you dare.

This is a view of the Smoky Mountains in early October from the our roadway. Autumn in the Smoky Mountains is a special time. Our guests spend much of thier time exploring the many splendid natural wonders of the area. Located near the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains midway between Maggie Valley and Cherokee, the Walch Smoky Mountain Creekside Retreat is well situated as your "base camp" from which to plan your trips.

The roads around "Creekside Retreat" follow bold streams and the sounds of waterfalls are never too far away. During late September through October, the leaves change from day to day. They change with the decreasing light, humidity and temperature. From your base camp, you can travel up in elevation to the Blue Ridge Parkway or down in elevation to see the leaves at their best.
